On the other hand, a rich and affluent person has many other worries that keep him unhappy in life. Every single person is unhappy in their life. But happiness is a choice; it lies within our heart.

  1. Surround yourself with people who love you

The first thing you can do in your life to bring back happiness is surround yourself with people who love, nurture and care for you. Most of us are into career which doesn’t give us happiness at all. You can only enjoy your work if you are able to put your heart and soul into it. Doing something you love will have deep meaningful effect on you and those around you. It’s doing things you love that brings you joy and brings the happiness back in your life.

  1. Conquer stress with laughter

The best way to find out the solution of a problem is doing it with a smile on your face. You have to deal with the problem either way, so why not do it smiling? Try not to take life too seriously. However, seriousness is required in some circumstances, but if you continually treat life as a struggle or as something painful then it will continue to be that way.

Nature has the power to soothe your mind and soul. If you are feeling unhappy, then try stepping out of the house and spend some time in the lap of nature. Sitting and listening to the birds, watching as they go about their daily routines, feeding them, is a great way to calm your mind and bring back happiness in your life.

Only you can decide for yourself, what is good and what is bad for you. To keep out depression out of life, just remember to follow your intuition and have faith that you are going in the right direction. Surround your most stressful environments like your office space with knickknacks and images that make you smile. Fill your office desk with a collection of little, colourful trinkets and characters, to make yourself happy.
