Virat Kohli Received The Polly Umrigar Award, Anushka Cheers For Hubby

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma attended the BCCI Annual Award function in Bengaluru. Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli received the Polly Umrigar Award for being the best international cricketer for the 2016-17 & 2017-18 seasons at the annual  BCCI awards ceremony.

To make this event special for Virat, Anushka was right by his side and cheered for him. In his speech, he said,”My wife is here today so makes it more special. The award didn’t happen last year but I am glad they didn’t because she is here now.”

Kohli gave an outstanding performance in the 2016-17 season as he scored 1332 runs in 13 matches with an average of 74. In the limited overs format, the Delhi star amassed 1516 runs in 27 games at an average of 84.22.

In the year 2017-18 season, Kohli outshined other world players with an average of 89.6 & 75 in six Test and One-day matches.

Smriti Mandhan was bestowed with the international cricketer of the year 2017-18 in the women’s cricket while Harmanpreet Kaur received the player of the year for her high-octane performance in the 2016-17 season.

During the award ceremony Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Dipika Pallikal and KL Rahul were also present there.
