71.49 percent Engg seats filled, 2nd  phase from Oct 29 : Mittal

Engineering students in Karnataka prefer govt organisations for internship

The first phase of engineering seats filling is over,  according to technical education commissioner Navin Mittal. He informed press persons here that 71.49 percent seats were allotted as per merits. 

Mittal said that 19,998 seats are remained after the first phase.  In B Tech all seats in 21 courses, 3091 seats in 14 varsities,  47046 seats in 164 private colleges were filled so far. 

While all the seats are filled up in 13 varsities and 35 private colleges,  no seats were filled up in three private colleges. 

Mittal said that only 3.04 percent allotted in B Pharmacy in MPC quota,  4324 seats are still available.  The candidates who got seats should make self reporting to the college by October 28 and final phase will commence from October 29, he added.
