Abu Salem Sent To Jail For Seven Years

On Thursday Delhi court sentenced seven years of imprisonment to gangster Abu Salem for demanding Rs 5 crore as protection money from a Delhi-based businessman Ashok Gupta, a resident of Greater Kailash in South Delhi, in 2002.

After hearing arguments by the prosecution and defence lawyers the court passed the order. It had convicted Salem in the case on May 26.

The case was lodged in Delhi, which says that gangster Abu Salem had demanded Rs 5 crore as protection money from him in 2002.
