As Emraan Hashmi put it once, “Grey characters often are more realistic than others.” Akshay Kumar’s crowman character in Rajinikanth’s 2.0 turns out to be one of the best negative characters that we have witnessed over the years. The Crowman character in 2.0 came as a complete surprise package. Keeping in view his devilish looks, the audience is calling him the super villain of 2.0.
Behind that larger-than-life prosthetic-pumped-up creature is a man who is an environmentalist battling against ecological venomousness. The original choices for Akshay’s role in 2.0 were Kamal Haasan and Hollywood bigwig Arnold Schwarzenegger. While the former refused to do a negative role, the latter asked for the kind of money that the makers were not in a position to pay.
2.0, also starred Amy Jackson in an important role, is a sequel to the 2010 film Robot. The film is the most expensive Indian film ever. Directed by S Shankar and produced by Lyca Productions, 2.0 is dominating the box office which was released on November 29 across 7500 screens across the country.
