Andhra Pradesh High Court hands over Jagan knife attack case to NIA

Andhra Pradesh High Court has transferred the investigation pertaining to the attack on YSR Congress Chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to NIA. The YSR Congress Party had filed a petition in High Court seeking that investigation be done by the central agency.

Earlier YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy was stabbed on his arm by an unidentified assailant at Vishakhapatnam Airport. He received minor injury on his left arm and was given first aid at the airport. The attacker was identified as Srinivas, employed at the airport canteen, said he was trying to click a selfie with Jagan Mohan Reddy.

When the leader obliged, he pretended to take a picture and stabbed Jagan Reddy with a sharp object. The incident took place at VIP lounge of the Vishakhapatnam airport where Jagan Reddy was waiting for his flight to Hyderabad.
