Anushka Panda, Differently-Abled From Gurgaon Tops CBSE 10th Boards With 97%

Anushka Panda, 14-year-old differently-abled girl, a student of The Sun City School from Gurgaon topped the CBSE 10th class exam.

Panda was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a genetic disease infamous for snatching away a person’s physical strength, affecting motor nerve cells in the spinal cord, thus affected the ability to walk, eat, or even breath at times.

Anushka has scored 99 in Mathematics, 95 in English, 98 in Science and another 99 in Social Science, respectively.

She also happens to share the top rank with another student, Sanya Gandhi, from Uttam School, Ghaziabad.

Anushka an ardent chess lover and a trained classical singer, is the only child of Anop Kumar Panda, vice-President of a German MNC, Siegwerk Limited, and Archana Panda, Lead Auditor for Social Accountability Accreditation Services, a US-based accreditation company.
