Ashton Turner (84 not out) played a gem of an innings as his cameo helped Australia score 359/6 and chase down the target with two overs to spare in Mohali ODI against India. By the virtue of the victory, Austrlia levelled the five-match series 2-2. In the chase, Australia lost Aaron Finch (0) and Shaun Marsh (6) early.
Following their dismissals Usman Khawaja (91) and Peter Handscomb (117) laid the foundation for Australia with their 192-run third wicket stand. Later, Glenn Maxwell (23), Turner and Alex Carey (21) played important cameos to help Australia cross the line with ease. Earlier, Shikhar Dhawan (143) and Rohit Sharma (95) played brilliant individual knocks as India posted 358/9.
Dhawan and Rohit got India off to a dominating start, forging a 193-run opening wicket stand before the latter was sent back by Jhye Richardson. However, Dhawan from there on carried on his dominance as he scored 18 boundaries and three sixes in his 115-ball knock. Dhawan was also involved in a 61-run stand with KL Rahul (26) for the second wicket.
Later, Rishabh Pant (36) and Vijay Shankar (26) played important cameos to help the hosts get past 350 runs. For Australia, Pat Cummins (5/70) was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged his first ODI five-wicket haul.
