Senior Journalist G.Bhageeradha was nominated as a member on the advisory panel at Hyderabad, Regional center of CBFC for a period of three years.

G.Bhageeradha has an experience of three and half decades in the field of Journalism. During this tenure, he served the newspapers of Andhra Jyothi, Andhra Prabha, The New Indian Express and the film magazines – Jyoti Chitra and Venditera. His versatile endowments in the field of literature have been a huge success.

In the academic field, he introduced a Curriculum on ‘Telugu Cinema” for the second year students of Master of Arts Programme of the Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad in 2010.

He extended his services to the film industry by serving Andhra Pradesh State Government Nandi Awards Committee Member in the years 1992, 1997 & 2001. Served as 64th National Film Awards Jury in 2017.

He was bestowed with an ‘Indian Centenary Film Award’ for his contribution in the film industry, organized by South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce. His prodigious achievements have been recognized widely and many awards were conferred for the same. Some of them include – ‘Andhra Pradesh Cine Goers Film Award’ as Best Journalist in the year 1992 and 1997, ‘State Nandi Award’ presented by Andhra Pradesh State Government for Best Film Critic in the years 1997 and 2000, ‘Kinnera Film Award’ for Best Journalist in the year 1999, ‘Vamsee Film Award’ for Best Journalist in 2001 and 2012, ‘NTR Memorial Award’ for Best Journalist in 2010 presented by NTR Trust, ‘Best Journalist Award’ presented by Film Nagar Daivasannidhanam in 2011, ‘Prajadiary Celebrity Award’ for outstanding Contribution in Journalism in 2014, ‘PSR Anjaneya Sastry Memorial Award’ presented by Vajpayee and Veteran Journalists Association, Hyderabad in 2014, ‘Viswa Bharathi Puraskar Award’ presented by New Delhi Telugu Academy in 2016, ‘Prathibha Puraskar Award’ presented by Bharath Arts Academy in 2017.  

His fine experience in movie making was captured in Saamaanyudu and Swagatham, for which he was the Project Coordinator. He conceptualized a story ‘Nazarana’ a Children Feature film, which won the Golden Nandi from the Government of Andhra Pradesh State Awards in the year 2010.

Directed two documentary films on Padma Sri DVS Raju and Hyderabad. Directed two short films on Amaravathi the Capital City of Navyandhra and Machala Devi the Court Dancer of Kakatiya Dynasty.   

In the recent time, his knowledge and skills were recognized by Vanguri Foundation, Upon invitation, he delivered a speech in the 9th America Telugu Literary Conference on 25th and 26th October 2014 held at Houston, Texas, USA.

Continuing his interest in the literature, he is putting remarkable efforts in Research on ‘Medieval Deccan History based on Vijayanagara Dynasty’ the last Hindu kingdom in southern peninsula from 2007 awards.
