Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is said to have compared the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government to the ‘British Raj’.
Making this comment while interacting with Telugu Desam Party leaders, Chandrababu said it was time to wage a war against Modi and punish him for his “betrayal”.
The Chandrababu-led TDP recently exited NDA after the Centre refused to accord special status to the state.
Later, referring to the day-long fast observed by Modi and other Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parliamentarians, Chandrababu said the party will only lose from such acts.
Chandrababu said there was no instance in the history of India that a prime minister had gone on a hunger strike.
He then said, “Andhra Pradesh is not given special status for political reasons only. Now, they are provoking some more states. However, they only will lose from such acts.”
