BJP President Amit Shah has said, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has lost complete credibility among the people of the state and as a result he is announcing a series of sops to woo different sections. In an open letter written to the people of Andhra, the BJP Chief said, Mr Naidu has made multiple U-turns and is carrying on a malicious propaganda against the Centre and BJP leadership to divert people’s attention from his failures.
Mr Shah said, the TDP leader has destroyed the anti-Congress foundation on which the party was built by its founder, NT Rama Rao. He alleged that Congress betrayed the people of Andhra Pradesh while dividing the state and now the TDP leader wants to work for bringing back Congress to power. The BJP President also said, the Andhra Chief Minister is twisting the facts about assistance provided by the Centre to the state government.
He said, on many occasions, Mr Naidu had endorsed the special package announced by the Centre in lieu of special category status. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, who sat on a hunger strike in New Delhi demanding special status for his state, ended his fast yesterday. Congress President Rahul Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah, and other leaders from the Opposition extended their support.
