Indian Army’s Vice Chief Sarath Chand said that China is bound to be a threat to India in future as standoff between Indian and Chinese army continues along the border in the Sikkim sector.
In a joint seminar of the Army’s Master General Ordnance and Confederation of Indian Industry, Lieutenant General Chand said “China has a large landmass, lot of resources and a huge standing army which is located on the North side of India. Himalayas present in between china and India even though, China is bound to be a threat for us in the coming years and china was trying to strengthen their army day by day than United States of America”.
US is the world’s first spender around 611 billion dollars for defense in the year of 2015 and 2016. China got second place in the list spending 215 billion dollars in 2016. In this list India was fifth largest military spender in the world in 2016 at 55.9 billion dollars. Chand also said that India needs to spend more money and strengthen the security.
