Congress MLAs preparing to resign from Assembly in TS

Angry over the expulsions of Congress MLAs Komatireddy Venkatreddy and Sampath Kumar from the assembly, Telangana Congress Party MLAs are seriously planning to resign from the legislature en masse.

Accusing the Telangana Rashtra Samiti government for insulting the people’s verdict, the Congress leaders under the leadership of Jana Reddy organised a CLP meeting to discuss the way forward. The leaders are believed to have taken crucial decisions in this regard.

A per one of the decisions taken at the CLP meeting, all the Congress MLA have decided to resign from the legislative assembly and go for the by-elections to get re-elected.

The leaders have also decided to expose the high-handedness of the TRS government before the people of the state.

The Congress leaders said just as Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekara Rao was playing a psychological game, they too intend to do so.

At present, Congress has 13 MLAs and they doubt whether the assembly speaker will accept their resignations at all.
