Famous Malayalam actor Priya Prakash Varrier got a big relief in Supreme Court. Some Muslim people from Telangana filed a case against her, listing the charge of hurting their sentiment with her wink in a popular song from the movie “Oru Adaar Love”. The case which was put on hold by the Supreme Court for four months, has now come to a conclusion. Supreme Court cancelled the case against Priya Varrier today, which was a huge reprieve for her. The young actor became wildly popular and the film gained national attention because of the song showing her winking which went viral. The complainants argued in Supreme Court that, it is a traditional Islam song in Kerala and Priya’s winking intended to outrage religious feelings. So the release of the movie had to be postponed since then. Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra said in a sharp rebuke to the complainant, “Somebody in a film sings a song and you have no other job but to file a case”. Abdul Rawoof acted as a hero in the film which was directed by Omar Lulu.
