Telangana Police Commissioner Sajjanar informed that two policemen including a Sub-Inspector injured in the encounter in which four accused in Disha case were killed near Hyderabad on Friday morning. He spoke to media at Chatanpally in Shadnagar and said the accused attacked police initially by sticks and stones and later grabbed weapons from police.
Narrating the scene of encounter, the Commissioner said, the police opened fire after repeatedly warning the accused to calm down. Two policemen, Venkateswarlu and Aravind Goud received head injuries and admitted into a private hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the bodies of the four accused have been taken to Mahabubnagar District Hospital for post-mortem.
Prior to that, the parents of the four have been taken to the encounter spot for identification purpose. A large number of people belonging to various sections of the society have expressed happiness and relief following the police action.
