A dog died on a United Airlines flight that was bound to New York after an air hostess forced its owner to keep it in the overhead bin during a 3.5-hour flight.

United said it accepted “full responsibility” for the incident and said, “This was a tragic accident that should never have occurred, as pets should never be placed in the overhead bin.”
