DU admission 2018: English (Hons) continues to be the most sought-after course

Delhi University (DU) Admission 2018: English (Hons) continues to be the most popular course this year as well. The course has so far received 52,254 applications. It is followed by Political Science (Hons) & Economics (Hons) which have garnered 40,409 and 40, 492 applications respectively.

Till Friday evening the university had received over 1,97,305 registrations.

“The course is popular but what contributes to such high number of application is the fact that students from any stream can apply for the course without facing any disadvantage,” said DU official

The first cutoff will be released by the university on 19th June 2018 and admissions under it will happen till June 21. DU will announce only five cutoffs this year.

Till last year, the registration process for entrance-based admission was separate but this year university will provide a single portal for applications for both merit-based & entrance-based admissions to undergraduate courses.

Applicants can edit their forms till they make the payment.

The online registration for research courses and postgraduate started start from My 18 and may 20, respectively. The university will conduct ‘online computer-based entrance test’ for selected undergraduate, all postgraduate, MPhil and PhD courses from this session in 18 cities.

“The university will conduct open day session regarding admission to postgraduate and MPhil/PhD courses on June 1 from 10 am to 1.30 pm,” said by an official.
