EC issued notification for MLC elections in AP

MLC elections in AP

The Election Commission of India has issued notification for conducting elections to fill up the seat that fell vacant following the resignation of Mopidevi Venkata Ramana. The notification will be issued on August 6 of the next month. The last date for the submission of nomination papers is August 13. The election would be held on August 24 of the same month. The counting of the votes would be held on the same day.

However, the EC didn’t issue the notification for another MLC seat that fell vacant following the resignation of Subash Chandra Bose . The reason for this the term of his would end March next year. Both Mopidevi and Bose had been sworn in as the Rajya Sabha members after resigning from their posts .
