Education sector in shambles due to govt neglect: State BJP

BJP State president Dr K. Laxman on Friday alleged that the Education sector in the Telangana State was in disarray due to the misrule of the TRS government. He alleged that the State government has diluted the Education sector by not filling vacancies of teachers and lecturers. He also alleged that the historic Osmania University also has a shortage of faculty members to guide research scholars and students.

Speaking to media persons here today, Laxman alleged that the infant State was in the last position in the Education sector. Stating that 1,000 villages in the State don’t have bus facility, the BJP leader said the recent incidents like Hajipur were occurring in the remote villages due to lack of buses. He ridiculed that while the State was reeling under many problems, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was going around the temples in the country. He also criticized minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav for not consoling family members of two Intermediate students, who committed suicide in his constituency.

Stating that the State government failed to issue DSC notification since 2014, Laxman said school education in Telangana was backward than Bihar State. He also alleged that while the State government gave top priority to the corporate education system in the State, it was showing step-motherly treatment towards the Education sector. While there are only 800 junior lecturers in the State, he said over 5,000 teachers’ posts remained vacant in the State.

The BJP leader also asked as to why the State government was hesitating to take immediate action against the Globarina organization. While the students sacrificed their precious lives for the separate Telangana State, KCR family was enjoying lavishly, he added.
