On Friday, Facebook acknowledged that Hackers have hacked nearly three million users and hacked all their pictures and video information. The social media giant has fallen out of grief due to this incident. Facebook investigated the hacking incident and the Initial investigation revealed that information has been stolen from two hundred and fifty lakh accounts.
In this case, hackers have stolen all usernames, phone numbers, mail ids. Earlier, in September, Facebook had informed that their accounts of 5 million users were hacked. It has been known that Facebook users ‘access token’ was stolen from a special app medium. Then hackers easily grab the names, addresses, e-mails and other information of the customers.
Guy Rozan, Vice President of Product Management in Facebook, said fewer accounts were hacked than they were feared. The data was stolen from three million subscribers. He also said that all measures are being taken to ensure account security of customers. Customers, whose information has been leaked, will be informed about this. The users are quite uncomfortable with the security of personal information on Facebook.
