Several parts of the Telangana state are receiving light to moderate rainfall following the onset of the Southwest monsoon after a delay of about two weeks. Hyderabad weather station has informed last evening that monsoon spread to most parts of the state and the remaining parts will be covered in the next two days.
People have got much-awaited relief due to light to moderate rainfall that several parts in Telangana state are witnessing for the past two days. After a spell of severe heat wave and experience of scorching heat for an extended period of about two weeks, the onset of monsoon has brought cheers to people, especially the farming community.
The met officials in the state are predicting near-normal rainfall of about 755mm during the season. However, the rainfall expected during the current month, which is sowing month, is expected to be below normal.
