French Open Badminton: PV Sindhu enters quarterfinals

Indian shuttler P V Sindhu sailed through to the quarterfinals of the French Open with a dominating 21-10, 21-13 over Singapore’s Yeo Jia Min. The fifth seed took only 34 minutes to bag the contest in straight game. Saina Nehwal also cruised to the quarterfinals of the ongoing French Open in Paris with a commanding 21-10, 21-11 victory over Denmark’s Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt in the second round on Friday.

The 29-year-old pushed her opponent on the back foot from the onset and did not allow her to settle down by making short work of the first game. Nehwal carried the momentum into the second game and capitalized on the pressure by sealing the victory in just 27 minutes.
