Fuel prices slashed again on Saturday

Petrol, diesel prices were cut again on Saturday. Petrol prices fell by 18-20 paise per litre across the four metros while diesel prices dipped by 12-15 paise per litre. Diesel and petrol prices have been coming down for quite some days now due to a dip in crude oil price.

In the national capital Delhi, petrol was retailing at Rs 78.99 per litre as against Rs 79.18 yesterday and diesel was sold at 73.53 compared to Rs 73.64 on Thursday, according to data available on Indian Oil Corporation website.

Prices of Brent crude, a benchmark for international crude prices, has fallen to the levels of $72.57 per barrel mark compared to its recent high of over $86. The fall in fuel prices over the last two weeks have brought the much-needed relief for consumers.
