Guv greets Red Cross volunteers on World Red Cross Day

Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan today greeted Red Cross volunteers and other functionaries on the occasion of the World Red Cross Day on Saturday.
In a message , the Governor said, “I extend my heartiest wishes to all the Red Cross volunteers and other functionaries on the occasion of the World Red Cross Day.
I express my great appreciation and deep gratitude to all the volunteers and functionaries of the Red Cross for their invaluable and selfless services to the people in times of natural calamities, disasters, all other emergencies.
The brave and humanitarian services of the Red Cross during the present Covid-19 pandemic are of immense value and are saving many precious lives, Governor said. Through their relentless and selfless services, the Red Cross volunteers have deservingly earned the reputation as the ambassadors of service.
I take this opportunity to applaud the key role played by all the Red Cross Volunteers and Red Cross functionaries in times of need. One must always keep in mind the seven fundamental principles of the Red Cross – humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality.
I appeal to the people to take lead and help the fellow human beings in this need of hour in the true spirit of service espoused by the Red Cross.
On the occasion of World Red Cross Day, let us take a resolve to make this world free from the pandemic COVID-19 through our collective resolve and efforts, the governor said.
