ICC Women’s Championship: India to play first ODI vs England today

In women cricket, first match of the three match ODI series between India and England will be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai today. After a successful ODI series in New Zealand, Mithali Raj led side will be hoping to better their ranking in the ICC Championship. India is currently placed fourth in the chart.

In-form batters Smriti Mandhana and Jememah Rodrigues will be hoping to continue their good run. With the absence of Harmanpreet Kaur due to an ankle injury, Harleen Deol will shoulder the responsibility of the middle order while Jhulan Goswami will lead the Indian pace attack. The England side are led by Heather Knight.
