According to film industry talk, one of Bollywood’s most prolific and talented actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui might be roped in to play the role of KCR in his biopic. Responding to the talk, Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, “As of now, I have no information regarding it. Great films are made in the South, and if I am offered a good script, I will definitely lap it up.” The director Nandita Das and Bollywood acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui were in Hyderabad on Friday to promote their film ‘Manto’. It is a biopic that stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui based on a period in the life of one of the subcontinent’s greatest revolutionary writers of the 20th century, Saadat Hasan Manto.
In 2016, filmmaker Madhura Sreedhar had made an announcement that he would produce a biopic of the Telangana State Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, and the pre-production works on the biopic were underway. The script work of the biopic had begun last year when it was announced, and as per reports, the film might go on floors as soon as the cast is finalised by the makers. If Nawazuddin is roped in for this biopic, then this will be a great move for the makers considering the kind of image the actor has across India.
