Indian Men’s Hockey Team register comfortable 3-0 win against Australia A

Indian men’s hockey team registered a comfortable 3-0 win against Australia A in Perth today. Young striker Sumit Kumar Jr struck a brace after comeback-man Rupinder Pal Singh opened the scoring. Drag-flicker Rupinder, competing after nearly eight-month injury layoff, scored in the sixth minute to give the visitors the lead.

Sumit found the back of the net in the 12th and 13th minutes. India will play their next game, of the five-match series, on Monday. In the series opener on Wednesday the visitors defeated Western Australia Thundersticks 2-0.
