Telangana Union of Working Journalists (TUWJ) today submitted a representation to state Municipal Administration and Urban Development  minister KTR and urged him to solve the long pending land allotment to journalists problem.

The General Secretary of the union K. Virahat Ali told the minister to take proactive steps and solve the land problem while noting that hundreds of journalists are eagerly  awaiting for the allotment of the lands. He told the minister that the problem had been pending even after six years of the formation of the government by ruling TRS party.

He also raised the issue of the rejection of the health cards of the journalists in network hospitals of the state for the last three years and added that several journalists had lost their lives due to lack of extension of the treatment.
