Kohli wants Indian pacers to skip IPL and be rested for World Cup

Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been taking breaks in between India’s busy cricketing schedule in order to keep himself fit, especially keeping next year’s ICC World Cup in mind. In an attempt to make sure some of the other busy cricketers remain fresh, Kohli has urged the BCCI to let the key pacers – especially Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah –  skip the next Indian IPL season.

Kohli has had a few injury troubles himself which led to he even publicly criticising the board for the poor scheduling that had started to affect players’ health. While the board has made sure that the specialist players are selected for different formats, Kohli decided to sit out the T20I series against Windies, not long after deciding to give the Asia Cup a miss.
