KTR lays stone for Rs 25 cr IT Park, says Congress did nothing for Mahbubnagar
IT & Industries Minister KT Rama Rao today lashed out at the Congress for the backwardness of Palamur district and its perennial problem of migration. “The people of backward district should defeat the Congress party in the ensuing elections and vote for the TRS to retain power for taking up more developmental works”, he said.
The Chief Minister was determined to develop the old Mahabubnagar district on par with other developing districts, he said. “The Congress did nothing for the poor, farmers and people during its regime. But the TRS government will spend Rs 50 crore for constructing an IT Tower in six months”, he said. Some 100 companies could open business in the IT Park which was expected to provide jobs to 15,000 people directly and another 10,000 people indirectly, he said, adding that Polepally Park which was started earlier was now providing jobs to 20,000 youth, he claimed.
Speaking after laying foundation stone for an IT and Industrial park at Divitipally in the district, KTR said Rs 25 crore will be spent for developing a Handloom cluster and provide employment to those relying on rural cloth production. He took a dig at the Congress for coming in the way of development of the district and State. The TRS government was determined to complete the irrigation projects and increase farm production.
As the Congress party was moving the courts to stall the irrigation projects mischievously, the people should teach them a fitting lesson. He also faulted the Congress and the BJP for criticizing the State government which was trying its best to develop all the regions and all sectors. “The Congress threw Mahbubnagar into backwardness for decades and failed at national level to develop it,” he charged.
Appreciating MLA Srinivas Goud for development, he said Rs 24 crore will be spent to develop Pedda Cheruvu as a mini tank bund on the lines of Necklace Road in Hyderabad.
