Malala back in Pakistan – Pakistani education activist and Nobel laureate Malala Yosafzai arrived in Islamabad this morning, more than five years after she fled the country following a failed assassination attempt by the Taliban as she was advocating the right to education for girls.

Malala’s flight landed at 1.41 a.m. and the 20-year-old was accompanied by her parents and CEO of the Malala Fund.

Malala is likely to hold meetings with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

The education activist is scheduled to stay in Pakistan for four days.
