Telangana state has got new zonal system. Giving 95 per cent of reservations to locals in state government jobs, President of India Ramnath Kovind gave his assent for new zones for the state on Wednesday. A gazette notification was issued in this regard by The Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday. The Telangana government proposed seven zones and two multi-zones and state cabinet approved it in May this year. According to officials, seven zones include Kaleshwaram (zone I), Basara (zone II), Rajanna (zone III) Bhadradri (zone IV), Yadadri (zone V), Charminar (zone VI) and Jogulamba (zone VII). First four zones would be considered as one multi-zone, the rest three zones would be another multi-zones. Transfer of employees would be allowed for certain posts within multi-zone. The notification said While 95 per cent of posts are reserved for locals, five per cent will be open for non-locals. The zones would be applicable for the posts except posts at secretariat level, heads of the department and offices set up for a special purpose.
