The Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC) banned much-awaited Bollywood film “Veere Di Wedding” in Pakistan because of “vulgar dialogues”. The film starring stars like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania is a story of four girls.
Danyal Gilani, Chairman of Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC), told via social media: “Members of the CBFC unanimously decided to not allow the film for public exhibition in the cinema as its content flouts the Censorship of Film Code 1980.”
On Tuesday night the movie was screened for the CBFC in Pakistan. According to trade sources, the movie was deemed unfit for exhibition due to “vulgar dialogues and obscene scenes.”
The film is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and scheduled to release worldwide on June 1.
