Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated the Indian mountaineer Arunima Sinha for scaling Mount Vinson, the highest peak in Antarctica. The Padma Shri awardee became World’s 1st woman amputee to climb Mount Vinson.
In a tweet, Mr Modi said, Arunima has scaled new heights of success and she is the pride of India, who has distinguished herself through her hard work and perseverance.
Arunima Sinha became the world’s first woman amputee to climb Mount Everest in 2013. Her feat is celebrated by the young nationals especially those who are chasing similar dreams. On January 3, she tweeted sharing her success, and wishes have been pouring all over since then.
