A huge robbery has taken place in Bengaluru – Kachiguda ‘Yashwantpur’ Express today in the early hours. The robbers created havoc snatching away the chains from women. It is said that Yashwantpur Express on its way from Bengaluru to Hyderabad, has suddenly stopped in the forest region at Divitipally in Mahabubnagar district and the robbers utilized the opportunity for their robbery.
A gang allegedly robbed Rs.25,000 cash and 250gm gold, through train windows from five passengers while they were sleeping. The victims lodged a complaint with Railway Police after reaching Kacheguda station. It is said that this robbery has taken place between 3 and 4 am in the morning. The SP, Railway Police, Ashok Kumar, suspects that the robbers might have done signal tampering. The train stopped for 20 minutes at Divitipally during which the robbery incident took place. A gang comprising six members seemed to have committed the robbery.DGP Mahender Reddy enquired about the details of the incident.
