Rohit Sharma praised India’s new No.4 Ambati Rayudu for “grabbing the opportunity with both hands” after the Hyderabad batsman continued to impress since making his comeback to India’s one-day internationals side. Rayudu has smashed three half-centuries and a hundred in 10 ODIs after making a comeback to the Indian side.
Rayudu did not find a place in the Indian team for two years as India tried as many as 7 players for the No.4 spot. However, none of them was consistent enough to cement their place. But Rayudu has justified his selection so far since his return to the Indian side in September. Rohit said the81-ball 100 by Rayudu will remove any doubts that he is the ideal number four in the run-up to next year’s ICC World Cup in England and Wales.
