SCB deletes 28,000 votes, residents protest

As a part of BASTI NIDRA campaign launched by Cantonment Congress on every SaturdaySundayon SaturdaySunday at Anna Nagar Community Hall Ward 3. TPCC official spokesperson Krishank Manne along with Cantonment Congress leaders arrived at Anna Nagar Community Hall. During the conversation women voiced out the apprehensions of their houses may be demolished after the decision by Secunderabad Cantonment Board to delete 28,123 votes as per Supreme Court Order.


Women said, removed of their Right to Vote tomorrow their existence itself was at risk. They found fault with this sudden decision by SCB and questioned on why elected representatives did not file a counter petition over the judgment. They pleaded that they were residing in Anna Nagar for more than 50 years and today the Chief Minister who promised to adopt Anna Nagar is not bothered when thousands of people are denied their primary rights.

Young women asked that a Bus-Stop was necessary at Anna Nagar Check Post as they had to walk for a long distance either to Gymkhana bus-stop or the TadBund BusStop on the other side, they have requested that thousands of residents of AnnaNagar and the adjacent Ward2 areas need a bus-stop.


Residents of few lanes have complained of contaminated water with drainage pipeline passing through water pipeline, they have also complained of improper timings in theatre supply as many people who were working found it difficult.

After the interaction with residents, both Congress leaders and residents dined together prepared by the locals. (Rice,Masala Brinjal and Dal). Later, as a part of Basti Nidra campaign all slept in the community hall. Next Day Krishank and Cantonment Congress toured the troubled places adjacent to the community hall.
