Dubbing care-taker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao as “Boozer CM”, former minister and Congress leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy said it was unfortunate that the people of Telangana had such a CM. KCR will have one more peg if he wanted to scold the Congress party, he pointed out.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, Marri said KCR was trying for early elections by “managing” the Election Commission. He asked the EC to act impartially and not cross its limit. He said the Supreme Court didn’t suggest that the Election Commission can hold early elections without completion of voter list amendment process.
He said the Election Commission should give top priority to voter list amendment as per Article 324. The Election Commission has no authority to neglect this fact, he said and asked the RC to act impartially and ensure that the elections are held properly.
