In a Maoist-led bomb blast in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur on Wednesday, six BSF security personnel are injured. Of the other soldiers present at the site of the blast, two others are critically injured. Notably, Bijapur happens to be one of the 18 constituencies in Chhattisgarh which underwent the first phase of the assembly elections on Monday.
The BSF soldiers, at the time of the IED blast, were gathered at the site for which the losses are even major. As per police reports, Improvised Explosive Device or IED is planted by the Maoists. Injured soldiers are immediately taken to a hospital.
