Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal received a special gift from her father Harvir Singh for winning the historic first bronze medal in women’s singles badminton at 18th Asian Games being held in Indonesia. Saina shared her joy with fans and tweeted the picture of her wearing a ring gifted to her by her dad. She was wearing the gold ring studded with white stones. She also expressed thanks to her father in twitter. She lost the match to world number one Tai Tzu Ying (17-21, 14-21) in the semis in Jakarta and won bronze medal.
Saina Nehwal who is the second daughter of Dr. Harvir Singh Nehwal and Usha Rani Nehwal, did her Xll from St. Ann’s College for Women at Mehdipatnam in Hyderabad. She is in the process of opening a badminton academy in her native state of Haryana.
