Ahead of the two days special session of Assembly and council one each day, Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy have instructed for necessary arrangements amid corona protocols.
They briefed Secretary Dr V Narsimha Charyulu and security for corona checking norms, security measures in the premises. Already social distancing measures taken in the halls with seats separation to follow corona protocols. The State government has decided to hold two days sessions of Assembly and council on October 13 and 14.
Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has summoned the special sessions, according to information. A release said that Legislative Assembly Session on October 13, Legislative Council session on October 14.
The Legislative Assembly Session will begin at 11.30 am and the Council at 11 am. The Bills will be introduced in the Legislative Assembly on October 13. They will be placed before the legislative Council on October 14 according to information.
The chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has asked chief secretary Somesh Kumar for fair conduct of the special session. Taking cue, Somesh Kumar has asked the officials to make necessary arrangements for the special session. The key bills to be passed by making some amendments for GHMC Act and some other acts, as per high court directives.
The speaker of assembly Pocharam also spoke to the DGP of the state and Hyderabad police commissioner and inquired about the security arrangements being made for conducting the session. The authorities of the assembly also set up a Covid 19 detection center on their premises .
The session will go in for amendments to existing GHMC act relaxing two children norms that refrains the leaders to contest polls. After the Assembly nod the upper house is to give its stamp of approval to the decisions taken and resolutions passed.
