Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday, 26 December, to reportedly discuss various issues pertaining to the state. This was KCR’s first meeting with the Prime Minister after being sworn-in for a second term.
Media reports earlier stated that KCR was expected to take up several pending issues with the PM like the bifurcation of the high court, presidential assent to the Bill seeking reservation for SC/ST and transfer of defence land for construction of a Secretariat.
Before coming to Delhi on Monday, KCR had met his West Bengal and Odisha counterparts Mamata Banerjee and Naveen Patnaik. He had said that his mission was to form a non-Congress, non-BJP front and that he will unveil a plan for it soon. KCR is also scheduled to meet Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Samajwadi Party (SP) chiefs Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav.
