Thank God! Chinese space lab burns out while re-entering Earth’s atmosphere

The “out-of-control” space lab Tiangong-1 of China, which re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere early today, has more or less burned out, even as it hurtling towards the central region of the South Pacific, reports said.

The space lab, measuring 10.4-metre-long and 8.5-tonne station, also known as the Heavenly Palace, was origianally placed in orbit in September 2011.

The lab ceased functioning in March 2016, reports said.
