Three devotees killed in road accident in Kurnool district

Three persons died on the spot and another five more persons suffered injuries when a lorry rammed on them. This incident has taken place at Eedula Devara Banda village under Devanakonda police station limits on Wednesday morning. According to information a group of devotees consisting of nine persons were going to Srisailam on foot to participate in Ugadi celebrations.

When they reached Eedula Devara Banda a lorry from the opposite direction rammed on them. In the incident, three devotees died on the spot and another five suffered serious injuries. On learning about the incident, Devanakonda police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead bodies to Kurnool General Hospital for an autopsy. The injured were also rushed to the hospital for treatment. The lorry driver was taken into police custody. Full details are awaited.
