Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the TDP had moved the No Confidence Motion over non-implementation of promises made in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act. However, the TRS MPs’ participation on the debate was only symbolic and informal. TRS MPs did not expose the injustices being done by the BJP’s Central Government. He said none of the promises made in the Telangana Bill were fulfilled. But TRS MPs have failed to raise issues pertaining to Bayyaram Steel Plant, Tribal University, Railway Coach Factory and other failed assurances of the Centre. Further, he said that the TRS MPs have remained mute when PM Modi strongly criticised the very formation of Telangana itself. However, he said that the Prime Minister has endorsed that it was the Congress party which granted statehood for Telangana and KCR had played no role in its formation.
Addressing a press conference, along with MLA A. Revanth Reddy and other leaders, at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that KCR has once again proved his loyalty towards the BJP and Prime Minister Narender Modi by abstaining from the voting. He said that the Congress party has been speaking about a secret pact between the BJP and TRS. By not voting against Modi Government, TRS has exposed itself and made the secret public, he said.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and his party TRS have exposed their friendship with BJP by abstaining from voting on the No Confidence Motion in Lok Sabha on Friday.
