The unions of drivers associated with Uber and Ola began an indefinite strike following a call by MNS’ transport wing against the cab service providers across major cities in the country.
The main demand of the drivers is that the startups ensure Rs 1.5-lakh salary per month, which the two service providers had promised in the past.
Other demands include shutting down of company-owned cabs, deciding fares as per the vehicles’ costs and stopping low-fare bookings.
