Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu meeting with Jana Sena founder president Pawan Kalyan assumed significance on the day when senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu was announced as vice presidential nominee of the NDA government.
On Monday, Chandrababu Naidu called on Pawan Kalyan to discuss the latest political developments in the state while there were hectic deliberations held in Delhi to give a crucial role to Venkaiah in Rajya Sabha.
Venkaiah has been a ‘big brother’ for Andhra Pradesh ever since the state had bifurcated in 2014. Since then, he was instrumental in bringing financial assistance from the Centre to cash starved state.
Now the Naidu’s meeting with Pawan Kalyan raised several questions among the political circles. Pawan Kalyan, who has been cornering the AP government, has so far made an attempt to gain public mileage through his public meetings.
All of a sudden, Naidu met Pawan Kalyan to resume his relations.
