World Standards Day celebrated at IEI

The Institution of Engineers (India), Telangana State Centre, today organized World Standards Day on “International Standards and the Fourth Industrial Revolution”. P V S Maruthi Rao, Managing Director, Messrs Picominer, who was the chief guest, said the IEEE was the world’s largest professional standards Association (IEEE-SA). He also spoke about IoT digital transformation.

Maruthi Rao said global standards sustain products and services for implementation and use by customers. Standadization is borderless. IoT is a major investment for industry, government and academia and one of the fastest growing technical areas. Its connectivity ranges from local to global.

Dr S Satyanarayana, FIE, Chairman, IEI, TSC presided. Earlier, Dr G Rameshwar Rao, secretary, welcomed the gathering. Er T Anjaiah, FIE, secretary-elect, IEI, TSC also spoke.
